Spike Chunsoft has shared a new trailer for the upcoming localized release of the MAGES-developed Science Adventure visual novel ANONYMOUS;CODE. The Saving and Loading and Hacking Trigger systems are also highlighted.
The former enables cooperation between the player and the protagonist Pollon as they determine when he should save and load the game. The Hacking Trigger, specifically, lets players determine when Pollon should load his save file to change the future.
Cooperation between you—the Player—and Pollon is the key to success. Advise Pollon on when to Save and Load. Your choices and Pollon’s actions determine the outcome of the story.
Hacking Trigger is an interactive scenario-branching system. Instead of a conventional story system, the Player uses their own judgment and the Hacking Trigger command to help Pollon decide when to Load and change the future.
In 2037, the protagonist Pollon Takaoka and his best friend Cross Yumikawa work as hackers for Nakano Symphonies following the “Sad Morning” disaster from 2036. However, during one such seemingly ordinary day, Pollon encounters a girl named Momo, who is on the run from the authorities for unknown reasons.

After failing in his task to protect her, he utilizes a new app he receives, which allows him to Save and Load in real life, akin to a video game. With his save data viewable via the game’s UI, Pollon ends up interacting with the player moving forward as they both attempt to uncover the mysteries of this program and several other events.
