New safety rules announced for Henry County Schools sporting events | WDHN | #schoolsaftey


HENRY COUNTY, Ala (WDHN) —With the sporting season under way, Henry County Schools has laid out rules for all school events and venues.

Entry:


Students not in grades 9 (Freshman) through 12 (Senior) must be accompanied by an adult to enter the venue.

Once inside the game or event, there will be no passes to leave. If visitors leave, they must purchase another ticket to re-enter the venue.

All spectators and students should be picked up from the venue no later than 30 minutes after the event. Henry County Schools will not be responsible for anyone left beyond this time.

Only clear bags are now allowed into the venues, and all visitors are subject to metal detector screenings.

Event Etiquette:

Visitors are strictly prohibited from entering the playing field or court before, during, or after the event.

It is strongly advised that visitors refrain from booing or heckling game officials. Henry County Schools will also not tolerate profane language in any context.

Prohibited Items:

The following items are not allowed in any Henry County Schools venue or event:

  • Weapons
  • Tobacco Products
  • Illegal Drugs
  • Artificial Noise Makers

Reminder:

Henry County Schools wants to remind all visitors that failure to comply with these policies will mean immediate dismissal from the event and venue without a refund.

These procedures will go into effect immediately.
