Niagara-on-the-Lake Museum launches book on women’s accomplishments in the town dating back to War of 1812 | #facebookdating | #tinder | #pof | romancescams | #scams

The Niagara-on-the-Lake Museum had a book launch last night (August 9) lauding the efforts of over 100 women who helped shape the history of the town over the last century-plus.

Actually, make that two centuries as a couple of the stories date back to NOTL women’s roles in the War of 1812.

Some 27 different authors came together in the creation of “Making Her Mark – The Women of Niagara-on-the-Lake.”

Attending the ceremony was Tony Baldinelli, MP for Niagara Falls-Fort Erie-Niagara-on-the-Lake, who said, “Tonight was an opportunity to celebrate the hard work of the Niagara-on-the-Lake Museum staff and Niagara Historical Society members on this project.”

“It also allowed us to thank the 27 authors who came forward to help write the stories and biographies, highlighting the accomplishments and contributions of over 100 women to the Town’s history.”

Pulling together the book was the job of residents and museum employees Sarah Kaufman and Shawna Butts, who were singled out over the course of the night.
