LENOIR – A Lenoir resident has been arrested and charged with failure to register as a local sex offender and for being on school property multiple times.
Jason Michael Hatcher, 42, of Craig Road in Lenoir, was arrested Thursday, May 4 at Baton Elementary School while picking up his girlfriend’s child from the school. He was charged with felony failure to register as a sex offender in Caldwell County. He was also charged with at least three counts of being on or near school property, either to pick up the child or have lunch with them at the school, while being unregistered as a sex offender.
