The event comes following a donation from the Woodland Sunrise Rotary club, which funded the purchase of an “assessment trailer” for NorCal Trykers. The trailer will be stocked with a variety of Amtryke therapeutic tricycles and the accessories needed to customize.
“Having these trykes on hand so the children can try them out before we place their order, will be tremendously helpful,” stated NorCal Trykers President Gill Williams.
Tryke Day will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Northern California Children’s Therapy Center at 1321 College Street.
Previous recipients of an Amtryke bicycle have been invited to Saturday’s event to have their bikes repaired, or be provided with a larger bike if the child has outgrown their previous one.
NorCal Trykers is a nonprofit organization that works to provide customized therapeutic tricycles for children with special needs.
