Movement across three blockchains appears to be effort to launder part of some $300M in proceeds from recent attacks

North Korean cybercriminals moved millions of dollars worth of stolen cryptocurrency across three blockchains earlier this month, according to investigators, in a likely bid to launder up to $300 million in proceeds from recent attacks on crypto platforms.

Anonymous blockchain sleuths ZachXBT and Tayvano_ posted on social media that on Aug. 2 attackers linked to North Korea’s Lazarus Group moved $8.5 million worth of funds recently stolen from CoinsPaid, Alphapo and Atomic Wallet.
