Monday, November 20 through Wednesday, November 22, the following bus routes are canceled due to driver availability:
- 04—Chinook and Odle middle schools
- 10—Tillicum and Tyee middle schools
- 14—Clyde Hill and Jing Mei elementary schools
- 25—Medina and Sherwood Forest elementary schools
- 29—Ardmore and Bennett elementary schools and Highland Middle School
- 53—International, Big Picture, Newport High School and Highland Middle School
No student pick-ups will be available in both the A.M. and P.M. timeframes. Families impacted should plan alternate transportation for their students. All other bus routes servicing these schools will run normally as scheduled. Midday routes and activity routes for these cancelled routes will run normally.
At this time, there are no other changes to the school day, and all other scheduled activities will occur as previously planned. Please check with your student’s school and teacher for information or questions about all school-related activities.
We extend our gratitude to our learning community for their continued understanding of the challenges resulting from a nationwide bus driver shortage as well as routine absences from various seasonal illnesses. Please continue to spread the word about our need for additional drivers to help ensure continued availability of routes.
As standard and daily practice, we continue to assess what routes can be covered based on driver availability. If your student’s route has been canceled on any given day, you will be notified via the parent portal through Edulog, by 5:30 a.m. that morning. Sign up for Edulog here.
