Ohio Lottery cashing services restored after ‘cybersecurity incident’ on website

Ohio Lottery cashing services that were suspended after a “cybersecurity incident” in December are now fully restored.According to a post on the lottery’s website, an outage impacted their ability to post winning numbers for KENO, Lucky One and Progressive Jackpots. Numbers could still be checked at a lottery retailer, however.The Ohio Lottery provided instructions on how to cash prizes:Prizes up to $599 may be cashed at any Ohio Lottery Retailer location.  Prizes up to $25,000 can be cashed by using the mobile cashing feature available through the mobile app or at one of the State’s seven racinos.  Prizes up to $5,000 can be cashed at Super Retailer locations or at an Ohio Lottery Regional Office in the form of a pre-paid debit card.  In addition, any prize claims may also be filed in an Ohio Lottery regional office or mailed to the Ohio Lottery Central Office.An FAQ on what to do to check winning numbers or cash prizes can be seen by clicking here.
