Online dating guru’s Tinder tips for unlucky-in-love men | #bumble | #tinder | #pof | #onlinedating | romancescams | #scams

A Tinder star who was the most right-swiped single in 2019 has revealed his tips for dating in 2021.

James Langton has made a YouTube video for people looking for love and his top tip is for people to use the desktop app on a computer instead of just using Tinder on their phone.

Other tips include linking Spotify and Instagram accounts to a Tinder profile and selecting the “recently active” button to become higher-rated on the website.

James, 27, of Oadby, who has featured previous in Cosmopolitan as well as on LeicestershireLive, urged people to be selective but not left-swipe and reject too many people – looking at other people’s profile for longer is also a way to be ranked higher by the app.

Moving around is another top tip – logging onto Tinder when visiting a different town or city.

The video was published a few months ago on his Dater Help YouTube channel.

He stressed he was not working for Tinder and his advice was fully independent.

Talking about Tinder on his video he said: “It’s going to sound obvious but actually engage with your matches. If you match with somebody, speak to them. You want to speak to them, message them, give them your phone number, your Instagram, your email address.

James Langton, from Oadby – a photo from his Tinder profile which is one of the 30 most liked.

“Out of all those pieces of information, definitely your phone number is really good, because Tinder is going to realise you’re putting in a phone number and if it matches the phone number you’ve registered with Tinder it’s going to be a good signal that this person is engaged and is going to meet with this person and talk to them and therefore you’re more likely to spend more money on Tinder.”

He also advised using the app between 8pm and 10pm on a weekday and, ideally, at the peak times of between 7pm and 10pm on a Sunday.

He said: “I think it’s because everyone is like, ‘I’ve got work in the morning, or college or whatever and it would be really nice to have somebody.

“People have a bit more time on their hands then and are maybe feeling a bit more lonely because it has been the weirdest year ever.”

He said lots of charming, good-looking men were failing to get dates because men were out-numbered on the site and their profiles were not being viewed. He said other sites like Bumble and Hinge were better options for men.

His business offers to touch up people’s photographs, edit their profiles and also offers Zoom coaching for people having their dates online during the lockdown.

He also offers advise to people on what to say in their conversations.
