Des Bishop has found love again with a fellow comedian.
The former Dancing with the Stars contestant met his stunning girlfriend Hannah Berner online and they began exchanging messages during lockdown.
He joked that isolating in New York over the past few months hasn’t been too rough for him and he suggested that she could be “the one”.
Des said: “I have fallen in love with a woman as well.”
“We didn’t know each other, we just followed each other on Instagram,” he told host Miriam O’Callaghan on Sunday with Miriam on RTE Radio 1.
“I noticed that she was isolating near here and in a moment of ‘We are both out here, do you want to get a coffee?’ and boom we clicked immediately. It has been quite an intense falling in love experience.”
“I have met many amazing women in my life but I think this concept of ‘the one’, that if you are open to it you really fall.”
“It’s been a more powerful sort of falling for somebody than I have ever experienced in my life so I would be confident in saying I will certainly make an effort that it is it, because it feels like it is the one.”

However, Des and Hannah have been separated over the last six weeks while she films a top secret TV project in America.
He said: “I can’t say too much because of TV contract, but she has been hidden from me for six weeks for work purposes.”
Des also opened up about being diagnosed with cancer at the age of 24. He is now fronting a new campaign with the Marie Keating Foundation.
He said: “And I was holding in the tears. I remember this woman was sitting down next to me in the waiting room and she looked at me and she was like ‘is everything okay?’ and I can’t remember if I told her yes or no, I just remember knowing that if I talked to her for any period of time I was going to break down crying in the waiting room.”
“I pondered for months like ‘what if it’s cancer?’ but you literally don’t think it could be, you know?”
“I don’t know if it’s because I play golf with more old guys over here – and I know golf is like a dirty word in Ireland at the moment, but I feel like American men talk more openly about getting their bloods checked for prostate.”
Sunday with Miriam airs every weekend on RTE Radio 1 from 10am.
