PERRIS, CA — A teacher at Perris High School remained jailed Friday following his arrest Thursday into allegations of lewd acts with children.
He is being held in lieu of $1 million bail, the jail records show.
The investigation into Regalado began Jan. 22 when deputies went to the high school regarding allegations that the teacher had committed lewd acts with a child during a period between 2013 and 2016, according to sheriff’s Sgt. John Burke.
At the time of the alleged incidents, Regalado was not yet employed as a teacher at the school, but rather was a tutor and volleyball coach at the campus, Burke reported.
During the investigation, it was determined Regalado had committed lewd acts on two former students, Burke said.
The victims’ identities were not released.
Regalado is due to appear in court Monday, according to jail records.
