HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. (WGXA) — A Houston County student was named statewide winner of the 2022-2022 School Bus Safety Poster Contest.
Eighth-grader Bella Dollar, of Perry Middle School, won first place in the Division Three contest. She was awarded a $100.00 check.
Dollar is the second student from Perry Middle School to win the award, making it the second consecutive win for the school.
The competition is sponsored by the Georgia Association for Pupil Transportation, and this year’s theme was “Safely Rolling to My Destination”.
Dollar’s art teacher, Heidi McBrair was acknowledged for her role in guiding Dollar’s artistic growth.
