Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has received security advice warning him to avoid travelling to Beijing in his RAAF jet over concerns Chinese spies could hack it.
The Australian reports other options are being considered.
Those include using a smaller jet or flying the plane to a nearby country and using a different aircraft to finish the journey.
The PM’s traditional jet contains modified sleeping and working facilities, advanced communication and navigation systems, and missile protection capabilities.
Mr Albanese has not yet revealed when he will travel to China, but he plans to by the end of the year to restore bilateral relations.
