CASPER, Wyo. — Authorities have arrested a Casper man after a two-day operation targeting child predators, according to a news release issued early Tuesday.

According to the release, a joint operation by the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office, the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigations, Internet Crimes Against Children, and Team and Office of Homeland Security Investigations, led to the arrest of Adam Paul Custeau, 36, of Casper.

The release says Custeau responded to an online advertisement for paid sex with who he believed to be a 12-year-old girl and 14-year-old girl.

Custeau allegedly went to a location where he believed the juveniles would meet him on June 22. He was met by law enforcement, arrested and taken to the Natrona County Detention Center. He has been charged with one felony count of attempting to entice a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity, the release said.

“The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office partners with Wyoming DCI to provide manpower to the ICAC task force,” the release states. “The WY ICAC task force receives hundreds of cyber tips each year with Wyoming Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. The ICAC unit works cyber tip cases daily to uncover criminals preying on and exploiting children.”
