Police Cite 21 Drivers During Safety Campaign In Buffalo Grove | #childsafety | #kids | #chldern | #parents | #schoolsafey

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Buffalo Grove police joined more than 200 other local law enforcement agencies for a two-week Child Passenger Safety campaign. According to police, 21 citations were handed out between Sept. 15 and Sept. 30.

The citations announced were:

  • 11 seat belt citations
  • 3 distracted driving citations
  • 3 speeding citations
  • 4 other citations

The campaign is intended to increase awareness of proper child safety seat use and encourage all motorists to buckle up. As part of the effort, high-visibility enforcement combined with a variety of outreach activities, including a media campaign, were utilized.

Child Passenger Safety Week campaign is funded by federal traffic safety funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and administered through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
