Preschoolers learn fire safety | News, Sports, Jobs | #schoolsaftey

Belvedere Fire Chief Robert Gaffney spoke with preschoolers in the Jefferson County Joint Vocational School’s early childhood education program. He addressed matters such as staying safe during Fire Prevention Week. The children received the chance to see a fire truck, equipment and firefighter gear and learn ways to protect themselves. Chief Gaffney’s helper, Dennis Burkette, tried on a helmet, while classmates Tommy Miller, Millie Koos, Braxton Carney and Evie Wood watched from the side.
