Previous Child Sexual Predator Charged Again In Pleasantville, NJ | #childpredator | #kidsaftey | #childsaftey

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that Jose Castro-Vega, 58, of Pleasantville, New Jersey has been charged with “multiple counts of aggravated sexual assault, criminal sexual contact, endangering the welfare of a child, and failing to register as a sex offender,” said the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

The Special Victims Unit of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, along with the Pleasantville Police Department, initiated a joint investigation into Castro-Vega after two juveniles came forward alleging sexual abuse by Castro-Vega, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.

Castro-Vega has been charged with:

  • first-degree aggravated sexual assault.
  • second-degree sexual assault.
  • two counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
  • fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.

As the joint investigation into Castro-Vega continued, they confirmed that he was convicted in 1992 of a sexual assault of a minor.

This landed Castro-Vega on New Jersey’s Megan’s Law list.

This has become even more disturbing as five more juveniles have come forward this week. They have provided the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office with detailed accounts of sexual abuse by Castro-Vega. The allegations include Castro-Vega allegedly drugging some of the children with pills to perform sexual acts.

This has led to Castro-Vega being to be additionally charged with:

  • additional counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault on four victims under the age of 13.
  • fourth-degree criminal sexual contact with the fifth juvenile.
  • Additional accompanying charges.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Pleasantville Police Department are continuing with their joint investigation.

To date, they have made quick work of these monstrous allegations … as their joint investigation didn’t commence until October 27, 2023.

Castro-Vega is currently being held at The Atlantic County Justice Facility.
