Project Manager – Software Systems Integration (*cb)

Details: SUMMARY:  Under limited direction the candidate selected for this role will be responsible for directing and managing all software-related aspects of a major program.  Candidate MUST have extensive experience with both Front End and Back End software systems development and integration.  This individual will be responsible for overseeing the software-related integration of many subsystems into a complete, functional system.  It is essential that this individual have a clear understanding of how data moves from one system to the next and can utilize this prior expertise to drive project schedules and fully understand various engineers assignments/contributions/work.  Candidates MUST have experience developing large automated capital equipment for imaging – i.e. XRay, CT, MRI.  This individual will be driving project schedules and working closely with various engineers/departments on the integration of many subsystems so they must have a clear understanding of how to read software and of how information is transferred/used between all subsystems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: •Responsible for the direct management of the Program Management staff function.  Organizes project and task workloads and selects individuals most qualified for assignment on specific programs. •Oversee full-system software development and integration – must be highly skilled with both back-end and front-end software development.  This experience may include device drivers, motion controls, Windows, data imaging, data reconstruction, image display, GUI etc. •Must understand how data moves and is utilized from one subsystem to the next in order to direct/lead development/integration efforts •Candidate should have a master/understanding of software architecture so he can better use this expertise to maintain accurate project schedules/timelines and to drive software integration efforts in a hands-on manner working with the engineering team. •Establishes and monitors adherence to master program plans and schedules; prepares and issues operational and program directives and controls product configuration. •Develops and maintains customer contacts and works on expanding the product line.   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: •Bachelors Degree in a related Discipline – Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, etc. Masters Degree preferred   •Minimum of ten (10) years of related Engineering/Project management experience   OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: •Must be proficient with Windows, C++ software (such as Excel) and database software •Solid experience with digital x-rays, CT Scanners, MRI’s or other 2-D imaging systems technology is a MUST for this position. •Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and negotiation skills are required for effective interface with all contacts at all levels within and outside the organization.
