Neethu connected with her partner last year on the dating app while trying to get out of a tough relationship. “I felt the need to invest in a healthy relationship during the lockdown and decided to give Bumble a shot”, said Neethu. She liked her partner’s bio and chose to make her first move with Bumble’s Questions Game. Coming from similar backgrounds, they both felt connected. Neethu continues, “My partner wanted to know me better and understand if I was really bisexual or just curious. I was relieved to be able to open up about it and tell her that I’ve dated women in the past and I’m sure of what I want.” They both have been loving their journey together ever since.
Aastha credits the pandemic for bringing her partner and her together. Even though the lockdown restrictions in their town had eased, they mostly met on virtual dates, getting to know each other on a deeper, emotional level. “I could never imagine bonding with someone virtually, but we immediately hit it off!,” exclaims Aastha. Their first date was talking for hours about their lives over French Fries and Chicken Popcorn. Aastha and her partner felt a deeper connection and confessed their love for each other, out of nowhere, while saying goodnight on a call one night. “I think the relationship that we share is extremely honest and liberating. We talk about anything and everything. That’s how comfortable we are with each other,” says Aastha. The couple recently took a trip together and are just spending more and more time with each other, savouring what they share. They both are optimistic that the future looks beautiful and promising.
