Ransomware group ‘Blackcat’ behind UnitedHealth Group cyberattack | #ransomware | #cybercrime

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Insurance benefits companies are acknowledging that Blackcat is the entity behind a ransomware attack that caused a nationwide breach of UnitedHealthcare and subsidiaries Optum RX and Change Healthcare.

The executive director of the South Dakota Pharmacists Association is asking for pharmacies to get in touch to report issues experienced from the hack.

The hack continues to cause disruptions — like unresolved prescriptions — and the outage is expected to go on for some time.
