A registered sex offender has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for producing child pornography and sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl he brought from Pennsylvania to New Jersey.

David Taylor, 34, of the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township, will also be subject to 10 years of supervised release following the prison term, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania said.

Taylor committed the crimes in a four-day span in July 2017, federal prosecutors said.

He was indicted in March 2018.

The investigation that led to the federal indictment began when Taylor’s parole officer went to his residence in Blackwood in July 2017.

The officer found a young girl in his bed and called police, authorities said. The girl claimed she was 20, but was 14 and from Montour County in Pennsylvania, officials said.

Taylor was on parole at the time on an endangering the welfare of a child charge.

The two had met online and she had sent him nude photos of herself. Later that July, Taylor drove to Pennsylvania where he sexually assaulted the girl, authorities said.

Taylor’s phone contained video and screen shots of the assault, prosecutors said.
