ALBANY— A sexual predator from Rensselaer County who brutalized a young girl and made her the subject of his child pornography starting when she was 8 years old is facing 25 to 35 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to an indictment in U.S. District Court on Monday.

Terence Wilson, 40, of Castleton-on-Hudson pleaded guilty to all five counts he faced charging him with sexual exploitation of a child. Wilson admitted that over a seven-year period he sexually assaulted the victim — at times on a monthly basis — and made her the subject of approximately 50 sexually explicit videos involving him and the victim beginning in 2016, according to his plea agreement.

Wilson faces 25 to 35 years in prison when he is sentenced Nov. 9 by Chief U.S. District Judge Brenda Sannes.

Wilson’s acts were detailed in a November 2022 criminal complaint written by an FBI agent who had received information from a State Police investigator who interviewed Wilson.  The complaint said Wilson admitted that 10 to 11 years back, he watched child pornographic videos involving children as young as 4 and 5.

On Monday, federal prosecutors were represented by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Adrian LaRochelle and Michael Gadarian. Wilson’s attorney is Assistant Federal Public Defender Jeremy Sporn.
