Rep. David McKinley to host cyber security forum in Fairmont

PARKERSBURG – A forum on cyber security with experts from industry and government will be held 1-4 p.m. Thursday in the exhibition hall of the Robert H. Mollohan Research Center at the I-79 Technology Park, 1000 Galliher Drive, Fairmont.

Topics will include how to thwart cyber threats, how to protect the energy infrastructure from attacks, protecting consumers and businesses from online attacks and what roles the private sector and government play in strengthening cyber defense.

The forum will be hosted by Rep. David McKinley, R-W.Va., an engineer. The event is open to the public and to RSVP, call 202-225-4172

The format of the program is three panel discussions to be moderated by McKinley.
