ITV release their first promo for the return of Big Brother

The new comeback series of Big Brother is set to have a major twist when it’s launch show airs on ITV next month.

The reality TV series is set to relaunch on ITV in October, with the first episode announced to air on Sunday 8th October at 9pm.. The new and revamped series will be hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best.

Big Brother: The Launch will air on ITV1, ITV2 and ITVX in a disruptive multi-channel and streaming takeover. The remainder of the series will be available nightly at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX – apart from Saturdays.

However there’s one major twist for the first episode of the long awaited comeback., as unlike previous series on Channel 4 and Channel 5 the first episode will not be airing live.

A TV fan account has clarified the upcoming launch show as not being fully live. Instead the first show will be pre recorded but will air as though it’s live, with future episodes across the series including eviction shows being filmed live.

The TV fan account tweeted:”The Big Brother launch show will be the ONLY pre recorded show to air ‘as live’ – and ITV have stated that this means much more house action will be seen during episodes 1 and 2.
