REVIEW: ‘I went to the sold-out Luke Combs Belfast gig and this is what it was really like’ | #DatingScams | #LoveScams | #RomanceScans

American singer-songwriter Luke Combs took to the SSE Arena on Saturday night – providing an amazing atmosphere amongst fans.

Tickets for the show were in extremely high demand, and after his performance on October 14, it’s no surprise why!

Combs took to the stage after a great performance from his support acts 49 Winchester and Writer’s Round featuring Ray Fulcher, Drew Parker, and James McNair.

The crowd was in great spirits and fans dressed for the occasion with their cowboy hats and boots.

Addressing the Belfast fans, Combs said: “It’s damn good to be here, first time in Belfast baby..”

He sang with great emotion throughout the sold-out show, with ‘Lovin’ on You’ first up.

Throughout the show, couples were seen cosying up, with families and friends singing and swaying together.

The audience sang throughout the entire concert, with Combs performing his popular hits including ‘She Got the Best of Me’, ‘When It Rains It Pours’, ‘Hurricane’, ‘Forever After All’ and ‘Love You Anyway’, with his version of Tracy Chapman’s ‘Fast Car’ getting a massive response from the crowd.

Combs spoke fondly of his wife to fans, and about the couple’s two sons. As ‘Beautiful Crazy’ was about to come on, he melted the hearts of fans who cheered as he said: “I had just met a girl who I knew was going to change my life in a big way, about two weeks before we wrote this song…

“I remember going over to my now-wife’s house and playing it for her the night that we wrote it and I was so nervous to play it for her because we weren’t really dating at the time, we were just hanging out, but knew how I felt then, and lucky for me it worked out…

“This song just means a whole lot to me.”

He even took the time to praise his band, kindly giving each member an opportunity to showcase their talent separately to the audience.

Towards the end of the night, lights of the SSE Arena went down, with the crowd chanting “Olé, Olé, Olé” and stomping their feet as they awaited the 33-year-old to continue, with ‘Better Together’ up next, then finishing the show with ‘The Kind of Love We Make’.

The US singer said: “Me and the boys can’t wait to come back already. Tonight has been incredible…” – and I for one can’t wait!
