Salisbury Police search for Kent County identity theft suspect

Police are asking for help in identifying a suspect who they say took personal identity information from several people in Kent County.

The Salisbury Police Department says that on Friday they were called by the Kent County Sheriff’s Office for reports relating to identity theft, in Kent County. Following an investigation, the Kent County Sheriff’s Office says that an unknown woman had illegally taken personal identity information from several Kent County victims.

According to the report, the suspect used the stolen information, in the Salisbury area, to open credit card accounts at area businesses and to purchase retail items in and around Salisbury. Authorities say the suspect is wanted for reportedly using the fraudulently obtained credit cards, along with a fraudulently obtained Maryland driver’s license to purchase various items from Salisbury area retail establishments.
