
ABERDEEN, S.D. — Sanford Children’s CHILD Services, which offers complimentary safety and prevention services to families, has moved to the Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center, 2905 3rd. Ave SE.
CHILD Services is dedicated to supporting the development, health and safety of children in eastern South Dakota and this new location offers additional convenience.
“With the relocation of CHILD Services to the Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center, we are better equipped to provide comprehensive, wraparound care to families as they are on campus for medical appointments,” said Nikki McLaughlin, Sanford community program coordinator, “CHILD services is dedicated to advocating for the health and safety of children and this move provides easier access for families.”
Sanford CHILD Services offers programs such as car seat distribution, providing child safety seats to eligible families and maintains a toy lending library allowing families to check out toys designed to foster child development. Sanford’s Family Life Educators are dedicated to helping support childcare providers improve their quality of care by offering additional education, onsite technical assistance and access to developmentally appropriate toys to be used in centers or in-homes. Sanford works directly with the state Early Childhood Enrichment system to coordinate processes and procedures serving as a superior resource for childcare providers in the area.
