GERMANTOWN, Wis. — A lockdown was enforced at Kennedy Middle School Monday evening because of a “school safety threat,” according to Germantown School District.

School officials told parents there was a “shooter” outside of the middle school, and no one inside the school was involved or injured.

Officials said that the “situation” is now over. However, there is a large police presence outside Kennedy Middle School, and police are asking people to avoid the area.

The school district is directing parents and guardians to collect children with an ID at MacArthur Elementary School at W154N11492 Fond du Lac Avenue.

The district said it will provide more updates as soon as they become available.

This story is developing. Check back for updates.
