Description

SUMMARY

Provide Call-Center Operator Support to process Research, Recertify, and Upgrade (RRU) requests and Incident Reports (IR) within personal security applications, such as Joint Personnel Adjudicative System (JPAS) and the Clearance Adjudication Tracking System (CATS). The critical goal for the Call-Center operator is to provide services which ensure Security Managers receive the correct answer and are satisfied that their queries are being properly handled at Department of Defense Central Adjudicative Facility (DoD CAF). The timeliness and accuracy of their responses directly impact the DOD CAF mission and military readiness. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide detailed responses to personnel security inquiries on RRUs and IRs in accordance with DoD, and DoD CAF policies and procedures.
  • Utilize a variety of automated office equipment, personal computers, and agency-unique information systems and/ or software applications.
  • Analyze customer needs and current security regulations and guidelines to determine appropriate responses.
  • Review and compile weekly statistical data based upon findings and reports.
  • Preform administrative and office support activities including but not limited to filing, faxing, reproduction, records management, and document digitization.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of JPAS, e-QIP, and CATS.
  • Working knowledge of a variety of issues related to the adjudication process and federal background investigations.
  • Knowledge of the OPM Federal Investigation Services (FIS) requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of the additional personnel security applications to include:
  • DCII (Defense Central Index of Investigations),
  • DEIDS (DoD Employee Interactive Data System),
  • Scattered Castles,
  • OPM SII (Office of Personnel Management Suitability/Security Investigation Index), and
  • PIPS (Personnel Investigations Processing System). 

SECURITY CLEARANCE

  • Must have a current Top Secret Clearance
