What you’ll be doing…

The Verizon Security Management Program & Cyber Risk Program (SMP/CRP) Security Analyst is a primary resource assigned to each SMP/CRP client, or assigned to support a team of Senior Security Analysts, to provide the services (activities, tasks, reports, recommendations & guidance) in accordance with the Verizon Security Management Program and/or Cyber Risk Program service descriptions. The Security Analyst has a strong background in networking, network/cyber/information security frameworks, solutions, assessment, governance, risk compliance and auditing processes, procedures, tools and platforms, gained through experience and/or education & training with degree/certifications. The Security Analyst nalyst must also possess strong communication and customer relationship management skills to be able to articulate and communicate assessment findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to all levels of client organizations, from line engineers to “C” Level executives. Delivery of services may require some work activities outside of “normal” business hours, and may require frequent travel – domestic and international, to conduct on-site cyber security assessments. Travel is estimated between 25-50%.

Essential Functions:

Daily project & assessment activity coordination of assigned accounts or in support of Senior Team members assigned accounts, while maintaining a 95% on-time activity execution rate
Responsible for the setup and maintenance of client profiles within applicable platform for both Vulnerability and Web Application scanning
Set up and configuration of tools and platforms for IP assessment such as NetFlow, IP Reputational DB, Qualys, Tufin, Etc.
Set up maintain various tools used in overall Cyber Risk Assessment programs for assigned client base
Perform assessments and provide reporting on elements of Cyber Risk Program as contracted, including but not limited to client IP reputational data, NetFlow assessments, Phishing and DLP assessments.
Upload client data and write corresponding “Risk Report”
Provide guidance & recommendations to assigned client base contacts, from Engineer level to “C” Level
Other duties as assigned by supervisor (Senior Analyst/Team Lead, Manager, Sr. Manager, etc.)
What we’re looking for…

You Must Have:

Minimum of 2+ years of Network/Cyber Information Security experience
Associate’s Degree in computer science, networking, IT, or security
Solid understanding of TCP/IP and related concepts
Ability to write technical reports and interpret analytical results
Understanding of risk assessments and audit methods and practices
Understanding of vulnerability scanning, penetration testing tools and methods
Experience with vulnerability scanning solutions, log management, and/or web application tools
Understanding of threats, risks, vulnerabilities and confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems and services
Familiarity with Security Frameworks, ISO, NIST, SANS Top 20 etc.

Ideally You’ll Also Have:

Valid IT related Certification (A+, Security+, Cisco Certifications, Microsoft Certifications, etc.)
Vendor certification on applicable cyber security tools used (Qualys, etc.)
At least one additional industry recognized IT Security Certification / Certificates such as from GIAC, ISACA (CISM CISA, CRISC, etc.), ISC(2) (CISSP), etc. family of certifications.
BS/BA/MS/MA Degree in Information Assurance/Information Security/Network-Cyber Security
Strong analytical skills
Written & Verbal communication skills
Good Time Management Skills
Good problem solving capabilities
Proficient with MS Office
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure.
Must be detail-oriented.
Work with minimal supervision as an individual contributor and as part of the team
Self Starter & constant learner
