Security Vulnerability Analyst

COUNTRY Financial is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join the Cyber Security Department. Daily activities will involve working with the Cyber Security team to proactively identify vulnerabilities, communication of issues discovered within the organization, and providing support for the mitigation of security vulnerabilities. Identification of vulnerabilities will require team members to contribute to the discovery and review of security threat intelligence information. Will also regularly conduct analysis of Cyber Security issues and provide quantified assessment of the enterprise security risk as well as recommended mitigation actions and timelines.

This position is part of a job family. Placement will be determined by skills and qualifications of the candidate.


  • Implement, maintain, and configure systems and applications used to facilitate Vulnerability Scanning and Cyber Security testing within the organization.
  • Schedule and execute scanning and evaluation efforts within defined windows of availability.
  • Evaluate, rank, and prioritize security vulnerabilities based on the risk to the organization.
  • Communicate and report on identified vulnerabilities to IT and Business stakeholders.
  • Assist in mitigation of identified security issues throughout the enterprise.
  • Create, maintain, and mature Vulnerability Management documentation and processes.
  • Performs computer forensic and investigative activities; and penetration and vulnerability testing.
  • Participates in projects and assessments on risk.
  • Analyzes and defines security policies and standards.
  • Monitors, alerts and responds to security events.
  • Defines and administers identity and access roles and workflows.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in information technology OR,
  • Master’s degree and no experience OR,
  • At least 4 years of experience in information technology. 
  • Knowledge of various information security methodologies, processes, and domains.
  • Working knowledge of IT/Cyber Security procedures, controls, and supporting technologies.
  • Strong communication skills: including the ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with technical team members as well as non-technical and business personnel.
  • Self-motivated individual with solid analytical and problem solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Enterprise Vulnerability Management solutions.
  • Experience with industry standard vulnerability/penetration testing tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with the OWASP Security standards or other relevant frameworks.
  • Relevant certifications which show a progressive development of IT and Cyber Security skill sets

Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office environment.
  • Work may extend beyond normal business hours as business needs dictate.
