|This position is responsible for working with business leaders to assist, identify and understand drivers, trends and risks on a near real time basis. By using tools to conduct structured and unstructured analysis, the organization can focus on high value prospects and drive sales and support activities which are demonstrated to add value, maximize revenue and where appropriate, minimize costs.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop key performance metrics such as profitability, time to market, cross sell ratios, fraud prevention analytics, product recommendations and similar decision recommendations with the objective of identifying predictable and sustainable business decision processes in every business we operate.Collaborate with business leaders including Marketing, Information Systems, Sales Leadership and Finance to review requests, analyze requirements, establish priorities and set direction, in alignment with overall company and business unit objectives.
Drive advanced analytics and decision support disciplines into the organization, through consulting, model decision and model design.
Bring Enterprise Business Intelligence skills to bear on key projects in support of the business unit strategies and development road map.
Provide strong recommendations, guidance and leadership to provide business analysis and advise business unit leadership on ways to translate data into actionable information.
Assist in the identification and elimination of duplicative efforts; accelerate sharing of best practices.
Facilitate the creation of data solutions to deliver high-performance, high-integrity business intelligence reporting and ad hoc data mining and data analytics capabilities.
Lead the consistent application and interpretation of new data and metrics while ensuring data integrity standards are in place.
Develop and maintain overall Enterprise Business Intelligence capabilities, services and tools, by using existing tools and as appropriate implementing new tools, reports and processes with measurable results.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Decision Engineering, Database Analytics or related discipline required; Master’s Degree preferred.Minimum 5 years’ experience performing data integrations between warehouses/marts, financial systems, and operational systems using a combination of database, report tools and data interfaces.
Experience in bank accounting or business analytics is required.
Mastery of Business Information and Business Intelligence best practices, concepts and data architecture to support analytic and operational reporting and information delivery within the Financial Industry required.
Information delivery including BI/analytic reporting, operational reporting, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Dashboards, and similar tools
Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with both internal business partners and service providers, as well as external partners and vendors. Solid written and verbal communication skills to bridge business and technical insights and perspectives.
Advanced proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel spreadsheet applications, and SQL.
Strong knowledge of query language.
Knowledge of banking systems is a requirement along with proficiency in bank accounting principles.
Demonstrated skills in data analysis.
Travel to local meetings, and out of town training or seminars as scheduled.
Typically scheduled hours 8:00 to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. May require weekend and evening participation in certain testing or emergency events.
