A convicted sex offender has returned to Boulder and is currently residing in the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless, Boulder police announced Tuesday.

Rodney David Jobe, 55, was registered as a sexually violent predator in 2016 after sexually contacting a 13-year-old girl. Jobe left Colorado after his conviction, but has since returned. He is not on parole or probation.

Jobe is currently living at 4869 N. Broadway while working as a self-employed handyman. Jobe is 6-foot-1 and weighs 220 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.

Boulder police sent out a notification under the Colorado Revised Statutes which requires law enforcement to inform the public when a sex offender considered a sexually violent predator moves into the area. Those requesting more information can contact Boulder police at 303-441-4332.
