A convicted sex offender is about to be released in Portage Co.
Randolph W. Edwards, 49, is being released following a prison term for two counts of third-degree sexual assault. His release date is Nov. 24, according to the Portage Co. Sheriff’s Office, and he will live at 3724 Town Hall Rd. in Junction City, within the township of Carson.
Randolph is is six feet tall and weighs 235 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.
Randolph was convicted in March 2012. Both of the victims were known to Randolph.
Randolph is required to register as a sex offender and must report any change of address to the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry.
Sex offenders have always lived in our communities, but it was not until the Sex Offender Registration and Community Notification Law was enacted that law enforcement was able to share this information with the community. Abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate, or harass registered sex offenders will not be tolerated, the sheriff’s office said.
