WAUSAU, Wis. (WJFW) – Wausau PD wants to inform the public that a sex offender will be released in two weeks.

On Tuesday, Dec. 12, 38-year-old Jacob A. Clawson will be released from prison and be placed on supervision by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections until Dec. 15, 2038. 

Clawson was convicted of repeated acts of sexual assault against the same child in March 2017.

Upon release, Clawson will be monitored by corrections officers while living in Transitional Housing near the Marathon County Courthouse. He will also wear GPS monitoring and be on the sex offender registry for his lifetime.
