A registered sex offender is back behind bars in North Carolina after posting on social media, according to the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office.(Catch up with your WYFF News 4 headlines in the video above) On Thursday, the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit said it began an investigation into 23-year-old registered sex offender Alberto Gamboa Sanchez. Authorities say Sanchez had several online profiles which were not registered with the sheriff’s office as required by law. Sex offenders are required to notify authorities of all online accounts they use, including social media platforms and online messaging platforms.Investigators said they discovered several online posts of Sanchez working out at a local gym. They said the gym has a designated child care center for customers who are working out, and Sanchez is prohibited from being at a location that provides child care. Sanchez was arrested on Friday and taken transported to the Alamance County Detention Center.He is charged with four counts of felony failure to register online identities and three counts of felony sex offender unlawfully on premise.
