A ‘sexual predator’ groomed and raped a teenager after encouraging her to drink alcohol. Michael Morgan has also been convicted of voyeurism after filming a sex act with a woman without her consent

Police began investigating the 35-year-old when he was reported to police on suspicion of rape. It was discovered that he had encouraged his victim to drink alcohol, allowing him to groom and sexually assault her.

In a separate incident, Morgan also filmed himself engaging in a sexual act without consent with a woman in her 20s. The two offences were tried in conjunction at his trial at Guildford Crown Court.

“This investigation and sentencing shows that we will work tirelessly to ensure sexual predators face the consequences of their actions. If there is anyone reading this who has been a victim of sex abuse, I would encourage you to speak to us. We will do everything we can to support you.”
