A court-designated “sexually violent predator” has registered in Longmont.
Russell Scott Ehrlich, 45, did not list an address and registered as homeless, according to a Facebook post by the Longmont Police Department.
Ehrlich has past convictions in Boulder and Weld counties for sexual assault and sexual exploitation of a child – possession of material.
He also has several pending cases on charges including failing to register as a sex offender and controlled substance counts.
Law enforcement agencies are required to notify the community when an offender designated by the courts as a “sexually violent predator” is released. The designation is applied to sexual offenders who meet certain criteria and are deemed risks to reoffend.
