Specialty Fenestration Group (SFG) has joined the Partner Alliance for Safer Schools (PASS). SFG is the parent company of U.S. Bullet Proofing and Quikserv.

PASS provides in-depth information and unbiased guidelines for safeguarding school facilities.

PASS provides in-depth information and unbiased guidelines for safeguarding school facilities. It was created by a team of professionals from various industries, including security, education, infrastructure and corporate sectors. They offer comprehensive solutions for ensuring school safety and security.

“Schools are facing an urgent need for comprehensive security solutions, as the safety of students and staff is at stake,” says Hector Vallejo, SGF’s chief revenue officer. “Unfortunately, many schools still lack the necessary resources, guidelines and best practices to protect their premises. The good news is that schools have access to multiple federal government funding programs and state and local grants. Last October, the Department of Justice awarded a significant grant of approximately $190 million for school security upgrades. This funding aims to bolster the security measures and ensure a safer learning environment for everyone involved.”

Chuck Wilson, a PASS councilperson, says the organization has been referenced by several safe school organizations, such as the U.S. Department of Justice’s Community Oriented Policing Services and the National School Board Association’s Center for School Safety. It has also published white papers on subjects including the role of lockdown drills, classroom security measures, temperature screening technology, and more.

SFG is listed as a Tier 1 partner. It joins various other glass-related companies associated with PASS, including ASSA ABLOY.
