The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office is offering free child car seat installation and safety checks in LaPlace and Edgard this August and September.

Sheriff Tregre’s Child Passenger Safety Fitting Station will be available from noon to 4 p.m. August 5, Sept. 2, and Sept. 30 at the SJSO Patrol Headquarters at 122 Dpy. Barton Granier Drive in LaPlace. Across the river, child car seat installations and safety checks will be offered from noon to 4 p.m. August 19 and September 16 at the Westbank Public Safety Complex at 5733 Highway 18 in Wallace.
