Some area legislators have received interim study committee appointments and will take a deep dive into issues facing Hoosiers as they prepare for the next legislative session in January.

State Representative Dale DeVon will serve as vice chair of the Interim Study Committee on Child Services. He will also serve as a member on the Commission on Improving the Status of Children in Indiana. He says they will take a deep dive into state and local child-fatality reports to strategize different ways they can improve child safety.

Representative Jake Teshka will serve as a member of the Interim Study Committee on Education. He’ll also serve on the Native American Indiana Affairs Commission.

Representative Tim Wesco will serve as vice chair of the Interim Study Committee on Elections. He’ll also serve as a member on the County Redistricting Commission.
