Kobe Ford, 26. (Boyle County Detention Center)

PERRYVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Harrodsburg man was indicted Thursday in Mercer County on sex charges following an investigation that authorities say dates back to 2017 through 2023.

The Perryville Police Department said it began investigating 26-year-old Kobe Ford, “a suspected serial sex offender,” in early 2023 and discovered “numerous” alleged victims, many under the age of 16. The suspected sexual acts reportedly took place across Boyle, Franklin, and Mercer counties.

In addition, the department said Ford is charged with providing controlled substances to minor victims. Authorities said in some cases, Ford got victims high before “committing unlawful sexual acts on them.”

Perryville police said Ford is charged with:

  • 2 counts unlawful transaction with a minor 1st degree – sex act
  • 1 count unlawful transaction with a minor 1st degree – controlled substance
  • 1 count unlawful transaction with a minor 2nd degree – controlled substance
  • 5 counts unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual activities

According to the department, he could face up to 70 years in prison, and additional charges in other counties are possible as the investigation continues.

Ford is in the Boyle County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond, court records show, and his arraignment is scheduled for June 7.
