I am a single mother of three sweet boys. Mitchell County native, however, I moved away fifteen years ago and moved back in 2019. I am in my last year of college classes and will be graduating with my bachelor’s in marketing. I’ve spent a significant time working on my credit score (recovering from a divorce). I have established employment in the county as well and have money saved for a down payment. Currently, I receive Section 8 housing, so naturally, my hope would be your acceptance of that, however, it’s not a determining factor. I’m also open to any rent-to-own options, if available, or any type of fixer-upper. I don’t want to buy a plot of land and build a house. There are too many abandoned houses that would look so beautiful if they were restored and I have the drive, knowledge, and connections to do that. Bakersville has always been my home and it has become home to my boys. We want to do our part to help make and keep our community beautiful.
Currently, we live in an apartment that lacks any air filtration system, which typically wouldn’t be a concern if I didn’t have allergy-induced asthma. I have nothing against dogs or cats, but I am highly allergic to pet dander and the majority of my neighbors are pet owners. We are tired of renting and have wanted to own a home for a long time.
