Conducts logical analysis of management problems and developing multivariate analysis, linear modeling, and data mining. Uses computer technology, computer modeling, spreadsheet applications, software tools, and programming languages. Analyses data and conducts advanced statistical analyses and applies mathematical calculations. Presents findings and recommendations to appropriate groups and helps to determine what actionable steps can be taken based on the findings. Communicates and trains users on model results. Prepares written, non-technical reports to management, indicating analytical finding and models. May supervise more junior staff and schedule work to meet completion dates. Guides predictive analytics model development. Interfaces with customer and helps define work process. May estimate time frames, quality and quantity of resources required to successfully implement project; develops project plan incorporating all project variables. May establish criteria concerning deliverability, performance, maintenance, design and costs. May conduct periodic status checks with customers and team to assess progress against plan. May perform re-forecasts of project variables as necessary throughout project and prepare routine status reports on all project activities. May be assigned responsibility for the management of the function, including associated staff.


The successful candidate will provide quantitative full range engineering analysis support for a complex system of systems including forensic analysis related to existing systems and predictive analysis in support of future systems’ requirements. The candidate will conduct Analysis of Alternative (AoA) comparison Studies/Research and Engineering Assessments of the operational effectiveness, suitability, risk, lifecycle costs, technology maturity, security and other critical factors of system, software, service, methodology choices impacting the mission.   The candidate will be part of the AoA/Trades Studies team which provides broad enterprise systems engineering, analytic skills, and expertise to address a wide range of analysis needs to support pre-acquisition and to help define and refine the acquisition strategy.


Responsibilities include:

  • Determine customer analysis requirements while defining project scope and managing analytical product deliverable schedules
  • Develop analysis reports and briefings to present to varying levels of government customers
  • Lead the development of predictive analysis to determine future data trends and assess potential chokepoints and system performance issues while evaluating key performance indicators
  • Support systems engineering technical exchanges and meetings
  • Develop, execute, and assess mission-based capability models to enable the mission success impacts of future enterprise capabilities
  • Conduct extensive and thorough statistical and correlation analyses of mission-based characterization and performance within the NSG throughout the entire analytic workflow
  • Coordination of future acquisition and development activities
  • Perform Modeling & Simulation to determine mission impacts of near and long term future enterprise capabilities for providing geospatial information support
  • Analyze detailed system requirements and specifications for large, architectures


Required Skills:

  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (aerospace, mechanical, electrical, software), physics, mathematics, or similar technical discipline with 10+ years of domain experience
  • 16+ years of systems analysis, systems integration or modeling and performance analysis experience including 10+ years of related experience with NGA or its IC partners
  • Able to interpret requirements, specifications and CONOPs documents
  • Experience in Communications Resource Allocation and Remote Sensing Collection Performance; Detailed understanding of end-to-end Satellite engineering
  • Experience with Modeling & Simulation Analysis, including tool set-up and execution
  • Demonstrated experience in performance data analytics and assessments
  • Experience leading Analysis projects and/or studies
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; Experience using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative technical solutions or approaches to problems
  • Strong systems analysis skills, with the ability to identify and accurately describe system issues
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills; Demonstrated ability to clearly explain technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences; Excellent oral presentation and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Project Management Skills
  • Experience in multi-Int analysis and demonstrations
  • Working Knowledge of Customer System, Domain and Interfaces (desired)
  • Experience with MS Office
