I.T. System Administrator

Hopedale Medical Complex is looking for a full-time, I.T. System Administrator to join our family of outstanding healthcare professionals. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday with some call for evening, week-end and holiday coverage.

This position is responsible for:
Design, install and maintain networking, server, desktop, telecom and storage infrastructure.
Provide support for all data center and desktop systems in a 24x7x365 environment.
Prioritize, coordinate and deliver technology projects and implementations.
Ability to manage systems monitoring tools, document monitoring processes and introduce automation.
Strict adherence to internal technology and content security policies at all times.
Maintain currency of knowledge with respect to relevant technology, equipment and systems.
Maintain System Disaster Recovery plans and backups for all infrastructures.
Produce and maintain clear and thorough technical documentation as it pertains to operating procedures, change management and hardware/software inventories of the system and network.
Respond to incoming calls from the enterprise related to any and all information technology issues.
Network administration (including backup, security management, user account maintenance using Active Directory).
Email Administration including e-mail server, internet access maintenance, Microsoft Office support and individual medical application support.
Performs technology needs analysis.
Rolls out hardware and software to ensure optimal deployment of resources.
Plans, implements, and supports the network and computing infrastructure plan.
Assists with technology planning through ongoing research.
Configures file servers, network ports, data switches, gateways, bridges, routers and other shared resources such as printers and communication ports.
Network protocol in DNS/DHCP & IP Management application support including DNS appliance experience.

Minimum of High School Diploma and minimum 5 years information technology work experience in hospital or healthcare setting preferred.

Ideal candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to work independently with only general supervision. Requirements 

On-call availability. Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends to meet production deadlines.
Prefer certifications in some or all of Microsoft, Novell, Compaq, IBM, HP, telephony, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required.
Demonstrated self starter with ability to independently indentify and solve problems.
Ability to perform well in a fast paced environment with short timelines and fast approaching deadlines.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
5 years technical experience in troubleshooting computer-related problems for small-medium sized companies, preferably healthcare or physician office practices.
