Technical Writer in US-CA-Southern California

JOB SUMMARY

Develops, writes, and edits technical material for work instructions, manuals, instruction books, packaging, labels, and related information with regards to Manufacturing/Assembly/Test/Inspection processes. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

DUTIES ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Receives assignment from supervisor.
• Interviews manufacturing personnel, research existing product work instructions, machine manuals and other materials to become familiar with product assembly operations.
• Reviews catalogs, drawings, and other data relative to operation, maintenance, and service of equipment as well as for information related to work instructions.
• Reviews inspection test assembly operations with the aim of documenting as part of the work instructions.
• Ability to match assembly/test/inspection process flows to paper documents as well as between different type of documents (operation by operation).
• Organizes material and completes writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
• Selects and update work instructions with photographs, sketches and diagrams to illustrate material.
• Maintains records and files of work and revisions using a document control application and or as directed by Supervisor/QC Inspectors.
• Be a team player with excellent organizational skills and an ability to adapt to constantly changing environments.
• Great attention to detail.
