The Aluminum Foil Hack That’ll Leave Your Oven Door Sparkling | #hacking | #cybersecurity | #infosec | #comptia | #pentest | #hacker

You should be cleaning your oven door at least once every few months, but more often if you notice spills or caked-on grime. With this aluminum foil hack, you are applying both physical and chemical abrasion to the buildup. Hot water loosens the grime while baking soda causes it to dissolve and lift off of the glass, making for an easy wipe-off with the foil.

Instagram home hack page @sandtproducts shared a video on the very simple process. Open your oven door and pour in a layer of hot water, enough to cover the glass. Let this sit for a few seconds to give it time to act, and then sprinkle in the baking soda. Get a piece of aluminum foil and squeeze it into a ball as big as your fist to use as a makeshift sponge to scrub down the grime. Once you’re positive all the buildup has been dealt with and your oven door is properly exfoliated, use the microfiber cloth to wipe it down. This makes sure no bit of residue remains, and no streaks or lint either. Afterward, the glass should be sparkling!
