Many criminals have been sentenced for an array of offences in the Berkshire courts in June. Several of these criminals have committed particularly heinous crimes.

A variety of different crimes have gone before the courts this month too. Among offences are two rapes, child sex offences and various drug-related crimes.

Some offenders are yet to be sentenced for their crimes and so have not yet been included, but several others have now found out their fate. One man was sentenced will serve more than 25 years following a string of horrific rapes and sex offences against a child.

Robert Mitchell

Robert Mitchell, 39, has been jailed for four years and four months for rape. On June 16 at Reading Crown Court, Mitchell, of Hillberry, Bracknell, pleaded guilty to the rape of a woman earlier this year.

After a night out in January, the victim returned home with Mitchell and others and fell asleep, only to be awoken as Mitchell was raping her. Mitchell was arrested on January 15 and charged on April 1 – despite pleading guilty he claimed to have no memory of the incident.

Bradley Dixon

Bradley Dixon, 29, has been jailed for 27 years following a string of horrific rapes and sex offences against a child. He was convicted of five counts of rape, three counts of attempted rape, six counts of sexual assault of a child, one count of assault of a child by penetration and three counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity.

These offences took place over a four-year period and were reported to the police last year. He was arrested on July 13 last year and charged two days later before being convicted in January and convicted on June 14.

Adam Gerezgher

Adam Gerezgher has been jailed for strangling and sexually assaulting a woman in Reading. The victim was walking along London Road at around 1am on a date in October. She was approached by Gerezgher, 28, who proceeded to grab her from behind, put his arms around her neck and touch her inappropriately over her clothing.

The victim shouted for help from nearby members of the public and managed to get away. Gerezgher, of no fixed address, was arrested on April 18 and charged two days later with one count each of sexual assault, and committing an offence with intent to commit a sexual offence, namely intentional strangulation.

Geregher was subsequently found guilty of these offences following a trial at Reading Crown Court. On June 5, Geregher was sentenced to three and a half years in prison.

Malik Khan and Zaheer Shabbir

Malik Khan and Zaheer Shabbir, both 34, have been jailed for various drug offences in Maidenhead. Khan, of Australia Avenue, Maidenhead, was sentenced to five years and nine months in prison and Shabbir, of Sawyers Close, Windsor, was sentenced to three years and nine months in prison at Reading Crown Court on June 15.

Khan had been found guilty of one count each of conspiracy to supply a controlled drug of class A, namely heroin; conspiracy to supply a controlled drug of class A, namely cocaine; possession of criminal property and possession of a controlled drug of class B, namely cannabis. Shabbir was found guilty of one count each of conspiracy to supply a controlled drug of class A, namely heroin; conspiracy to supply a controlled drug of class A, namely cocaine; and possession of criminal property.

The two had been pulled over by police at around 3.15pm on March 7, 2018, on Shoppenhangers Road. Large amounts of cash and drugs were found with both men being arrested, charged and subsequently convicted.

Carl Douglas Button

Carl Douglas Button, 47, was jailed for seven years after being convicted of numerous sexual offences. Button, of London Road, Waterlooville, Hampshire, was convicted by a majority verdict by a jury of three counts of sexual assault and one count of sexual assault by penetration.

Button was working as a housing officer at a housing association when he used his position too enter the home of a woman. He subjected the victim to a “serious and sustained sexual assault” leading to his arrest and prosecution.

Sabeur Trabelsi

Sabeur Trabelsi was jailed for six years for killing a man after punching him once outside a petrol station. Sabeur Trabelsi, aged 45, of King’s Road, Reading assaulted Jason Page, 51, when working as a security guard outside the BP petrol station in Chalfont Way on March 31, 2021.

During the incident, Trabelsi punched Page, who fell to the ground and hit his head. Page died as a result of his injuries and Trabelsi was arrested on April 1 2021. He was charged with manslaughter on May 18 2021 and has now been jailed.

Kasra Esmaelie and Aziz Nasser

Kasra Esmaelie and Aziz Nasser, both 25, have been jailed for rape and various other offences in Slough. Esmaelie, of Shirland Road, was jailed for 13 years having been found guilty of two counts of rape and two counts of common assault while and Nasser, of Church Street, was found guilty of two counts of rape, one count of sexual assault and one count of common assault – he was jailed for 10 years.

In September 2021, both men drove the victim to Upton Park, Slough, where they told the victim they intended to force her into prostitution before she was forced to take her clothes off and was threatened. Both men proceeded to assault and rape the woman, filming the ordeal on her mobile phone.

Kyle Hickey

Kyle Hickey, 24, has been jailed for eight years following a robbery in Windsor. Hickey, of Holyort, Maidenhead, pleaded guilty to one count of robbery and one count of threatening a person with a bladed article.

On November 11 last year, Hickey broke into the Alma Pub and woke a man by holding a knife to his throat. He repeatedly threatened the victim, took a quantity of cash and then escaped in the victim’s car. He was arrested on November 16 and has now been charged.

Yousef Zayadi, Adem Alpar, Nabeel Asghar and Rinor Mehmetaj

Yousef Zayadi, Adem Alpar, Nabeel Asghar and Rinor Mehmetaj, aged 35, 20, 34 and 27 respectively, have been jailed for supplying multiple kilograms of cocaine in and around the Thames Valley. Zayadi, of Frances Dove Close, High Wycombe, was sentenced to seven years and six months in prison having pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, namely cocaine, and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.

Alpar, of Ambrook Road, Reading, will serve four years and six months after pleading guilty being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, namely cocaine; possession with intent to supply class A drugs, namely cocaine; possession of criminal property and three counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a private place. Asghar, Colemansmoor Road, Woodley, Reading, will serve three years and nine months in prison having pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, namely cocaine.


Mehmetaj, of Orange Hill Road, Edgware, was sentenced to two years and 10 months jail time after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs, namely cocaine. The four men were arrested following an investigation by Thames Valley Police’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit.

Zayadi and Alpar operated a flat in Wokingham where drugs, cash and weapons were found. Ashgar bought drugs from these two men whilst Mehmetaj acted as a courier.

Ryan Sears

Ryan Sears, 45, was jailed for 26 weeks for three offences committed in Slough. Sears, of Pemberton Road, pleaded guilty to one count each of possession of a controlled drug of Class B, namely cannabis; burglary non-dwelling; and vehicle interference.

On April 17 at around 2am, Sears entered a commercial warehouse in Slough and took a portable generator, worth more than £6,000, and carried it to the carpark. Due to its weight, he his it behind some bins before returning on a bicycle at 5.30am the same day when he noticed the generator was not where he left it.

He then attempted to enter a nearby car but was arrested by officers, who discovered cannabis on his person. He was charged and pleaded guilty the same day.

Delwin Grant

Delwin Grant, 44, was jailed for eight weeks and disqualified from driving for 15 months after he pleaded guilty to five counts each of theft from a motor vehicle and one count of dangerous driving. Grant, of Canterbury Road, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, was arrested after thefts from vehicles in June this year.

On June 15, Grant committed theft from a vehicle at Sonning Cricket and Hockey Club, Reading and theft from a motor vehicle in Sonning and Scours Lane; alongside theft from three vehicles in Woodlands Avenue, Woodley, and dangerous driving in Handy Cross, High Wycombe, on June 21 – he was charged the following day.
