We Unicorns love a good binge of cat videos just as much as the next person. But did we ever think we’d be at risk? You’re all thinking “at risk of a cat? Wtf?” But surprisingly, research reveals that certain online videos are now the latest way hackers are tapping into your mobile phones in order to access all your information. Those sneaky buggers.
Criminals are now using online videos to hijack a large number of mobile devices through their voice activation services. Hackers have found a way to embed secret messages accessing your phone disguised by seriously distorted audio. Fans have been warned that their favourite funny videos may be putting their smartphones at risk.
Let’s just say we all need to be extremely careful on our phones these days. With technology evolving at such a rapid pace, our mobile phones are at risk of potentially being tampered with. So before you sit down to have a laugh at your favourite videos, think about where they have been sourced from. Especially those that aren’t very feline friendly. Maybe we should all just stick to the most famous cat we know, the one and only Grumpy Cat – at least this way our phones will stay safe, right?!
