Threat of violence puts Richmond Heights High School in lockdown | #schoolsaftey


RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Ohio – A threat of violence was made through a text message at the Richmond Heights High School Oct. 17 and believed to have been sent by a student.

The school was placed on an interior lockdown for the remainder of the school day while officers investigated.

The phone number the text was sent from was not located in any police databases, and the incident remains under investigation while detectives work to determine who the owner of the phone number is.

Officers have since increased their presence at the school in light of the incident.
